It is known that, according to the direction of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province in Notice No. 138/TB-UBND dated May 19, 2023, announcing the conclusion of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai at the online meeting of the Steering Committee for combating IUU fishing of the province in the first 5 months of 2023. The conclusion stated: "Based on the review and report of the district-level People's Committee on fishing vessels regularly operating outside the province, in June 2023, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside with the Provincial Border Guard Command, localities and related units to organize working trips to the provinces where the province's fishing vessels are staying and operating to directly meet with the ship owners/captains/workers to propagate and mobilize. At the same time, work with the competent authorities of the provinces to propose strengthening the management, supervision and inspection of Binh Thuan fishing vessels operating in the provinces".
This is one of the province's solutions to minimize and completely end the situation of fishing boats and fishermen in the province violating foreign waters.
