Real Madrid congratulate PSG on their throne. |
PSG won the Champions League for the first time in their history after a 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final in Munich on June 1. Many congratulations were sent to the French team, including Real Madrid, although the move by the Spanish Royal Club appeared a day after the match.
Real Madrid posted on their official social media page X a solemn congratulation: "Congratulations to PSG and their fans for the truly deserved 2024/2025 Champions League title."
The Santiago Bernabeu team also mentioned coach Luis Enrique: "The most special congratulations to my dear friend Luis Enrique, with emotional memories and full of affection for his daughter Xana".
At the Allianz Arena, the match was completely one-sided in favor of PSG. The Ligue 1 representative dominated the game, played with the greatest comfort and scored 5 goals. PSG completed the quadruple including Ligue 1, National Cup, French Super Cup, Champions League this season.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid went through a trophyless season. Notably, Kylian Mbappe left PSG last summer on a free transfer to join Real. The French striker scored 40 goals and had 4 assists, but could not save Real from a disappointing season.
