Revealing images and price predictions of the iPhone 17 series - Photo: 9TO5MAC
According to Apple news website 9to5Mac , JPMorgan Financial Group said that the selling price of the iPhone 17 series is likely to remain the same as the previous generation, contrary to previous predictions of a price increase.
Accordingly, JPMorgan believes that only the iPhone 17 Pro will definitely change in price, falling to around $1,099, an increase of $100 but in return, the starting capacity will double, from 256GB instead of 128GB as before.
The remaining models are expected to keep the same price or increase very slightly. Specifically, the standard iPhone 17 will remain at $799, the iPhone 17 Air can range from $899 to $949, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max will remain at $1,199.
The big news is the iPhone 17 Air, which is said to replace the Plus line, but has a completely new design. This could lead to a slightly higher starting price.
At $899, the iPhone 17 Air will make up for the camera and battery limitations, but $949 is not out of the question for a completely new, thin and light design.
In short, if JPMorgan's forecast comes true, the iPhone 17 series will almost keep the same price as last year's iPhone 16, only changing the storage configuration in the Pro version.
This could be “good news” for users who are waiting to upgrade their iPhone without having to worry too much about the cost.
