The plane that crashed at around 1:45 p.m. local time was a recreational aircraft, Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said. "The pilot was an instructor who joined a recreational flying club. The passengers were members of that club," he said.

The bodies of two victims, both Malaysian, were found in the cockpit.
Authorities had earlier faced challenges in recovering victims’ bodies from the wreckage as part of the plane was buried about 2m underground in a palm oil plantation. The bodies were later taken to hospital for autopsies.
A total of 150 personnel from various agencies were involved in the search for bodies, Mr Hussein said, adding that the accident did not cause any damage to houses around the area.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) earlier confirmed that there were two people on board the plane that crashed near Kapar town in Selangor's Klang district.
The Blackshape BK160 Gabriel aircraft is operated by Air Adventure Flying Club, according to CAAM CEO Norazman Mahmud.
It departed from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, Selangor, at 13:28 (local time) for a leisure flight.
Images of the wreckage show the logo of Singapore-based Aviation Safety Technologies (AST) affixed to the tail of the plane.

A witness told Bernama news agency that he saw the light aircraft flying in an erratic pattern before it crashed.
Jinaidi Nasiran, 55, said he was changing a tire in the parking lot when the incident happened. “There was something wrong with the way the plane was flying,” he said.
“It suddenly plunged straight to the ground… I rushed to the scene of the accident and saw the plane had broken into many pieces and was slightly buried in the ground. I tried to look for victims but found no one.”
Resident Siti Zubaidah Salin, 60, said she heard a loud bang, felt a shake and thought it was an earthquake.
“I was relaxing at home when suddenly I felt like there was an earthquake. I ran outside but there was nothing. It was only later that I heard about a plane crash,” she said.
Fruit seller Sufian Hadi Abas also said he heard a loud bang in the air. “When I looked up, I saw pieces of the plane flying everywhere before it crashed to the ground.”
