Learning from experience in military recruitment in 2025 and implementing military recruitment in 2026

On the afternoon of October 21, Military Region 2 held an online conference to review experiences in military recruitment in 2025 and deploy military recruitment in 2026. Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference at the Tuyen Quang Provincial Military Command bridge point.

Attending the conference were Colonel Lai Tien Giang, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Colonel Nguyen Hoai Nam, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; heads and functional agencies of the Provincial Military Command; Regional Defense Command; Military Commands of communes and wards in the province.

In Tuyen Quang , the military recruitment work has been led and directed by the Party Committees, authorities, and Military Service Councils at all levels. Military agencies at all levels have promoted their advisory role, closely coordinated with local departments, branches, and socio-political organizations to seriously implement decisions, directives, and instructions on military recruitment work in accordance with the correct procedures, ensuring publicity, fairness, democracy, and compliance with the law. The province completed 100% of the assigned military recruitment targets, ensuring absolute safety.

In 2026, the Provincial Military Service Council will continue to strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels; thoroughly grasp, lead, direct and synchronously deploy measures to implement military recruitment work according to the Prime Minister's Decision and the Directive of the Minister of National Defense. Continue to better carry out propaganda, education and dissemination to the people about the Law on Military Service and the Law on People's Public Security. Focus on selecting citizens with technical expertise to reduce training for the Army; organize registration for reserve mobilization and vocational training, introduce jobs for soldiers who have completed their military service and returned to their localities.

At the same time, closely coordinate with local departments, branches and organizations to advise the Military Service Council at all levels in implementing "round-the-clock" military recruitment; carry out administrative reforms, simplify procedures related to military service in military recruitment. Strengthen working groups of the Provincial Military Command and the Regional Defense Command to go to communes and wards to guide and train military recruiters. Organize coordination and close military numbers with the military receiving unit, select the right subjects, ensure the right quotas, and comply with the law.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha emphasized that 2026 is the first year of military recruitment under the 2-level local government model, and the selection and calling of citizens to join the army has many new points. In the face of many difficulties, Tuyen Quang province continues to uphold the responsibility of leaders and the participation of the entire political system, in which the military and police agencies play the core role in advising the Party Committee and the government on military recruitment.

At the same time, better implement propaganda work, synchronously deploy tasks to ensure assigned recruitment targets. He also hopes to continue receiving attention and direction from the leaders of Military Region 2 Command and the functional agencies of the Military Region regarding the task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in the province.
