S95F – Premium OLED TV with Rare Features

Samsung is a rare company that equips OLED TVs with anti-glare coating. In the new generation, this feature has overcome some weaknesses compared to the 2024 generation.

OLED, with its ability to deliver deep, vibrant blacks, remains the leading display technology for home TVs. In addition to improving panels and processing capabilities, some companies like Samsung are looking to incorporate differentiating features, such as anti-glare. The company began adding anti-glare coatings to its OLED TVs in 2024, and this year it continues to improve with the S95F generation.

The anti-glare coating can effectively eliminate light reflected from many directions on the TV, effective when used in living rooms near windows or with many lights. With conventional “mirror screen” OLED TV models, rooms that are too bright will cause the image to be reflected, which can easily cause discomfort.

When the ambient brightness is high, the dark areas displayed by the TV are not as deep as conventional OLED models, but are slightly gray. Therefore, the anti-glare layer is still a somewhat controversial feature on Samsung TVs. This point is overcome when users watch in a dark environment, turn off the lights, the quality will be guaranteed. Compared to last year's S95D generation, the anti-glare ability of the S95F is also better, the phenomenon of loss of detail is significantly reduced.

The design is also an impressive point on the S95F model. In the highest-end OLED line, Samsung uses a box that integrates all power cords and connection ports. The removal of ports helps the TV achieve a uniform thinness of only 1.1 cm. The connection port is designed to hook behind the sturdy, heavy metal stand and raise the height of the TV by about 10 cm, enough to place popular soundbar models below.

There is only one port on the TV for the technician and one port for the box, making the back of the TV minimalist. With enough space behind the TV, it is more convenient to attach the connection cable to the box than to attach it directly to the TV. In lower OLED lines (from S90F and below), the ports are still located on the back of the TV.

On the S95F generation, the 83-inch size (pictured) uses a WOLED panel, while the smaller models (55, 65, and 77 inches) still use a quantum dot QD-OLED panel. The upgrade will be most obvious when displaying HDR content. With the S95F model, many reputable technology sites such as Rtings and Flatpanelshd have measured a maximum brightness of more than 2,000 nits, equivalent to the LG G5 model. This number has nearly doubled compared to Samsung's own OLED model two generations ago.

Samsung also introduced many AI processing features on this TV model, such as upgrading the resolution to 4K for lower quality content, increasing the depth of field, or optimizing the sound based on the environment. When the Real Depth Enhancer feature is turned on, the colors have quite obvious changes, especially human skin tones. The main processing on the TV is handled by the AI NQ4 3.0 processor. The performance of the processor ensures that the features run smoothly.

The operating system on this year's TV model is Tizen 9.0. Although the applications are not as rich as Google TV, familiar entertainment apps such as Netflix, Spotify, YouTube or VTV Go are fully integrated. The TV also has smart features such as connecting to Android smartphones, iPhones, controlling the SmartThings smart home ecosystem. In addition, Samsung Galaxy Wear watch users can also control the TV with gestures.

The TV remote control has a simple, compact design with 4 services integrated with separate buttons: VTVgo, Netflix, VieOn and web browsing. Users can also give voice commands in Vietnamese. This remote control uses a rechargeable battery, which can be charged via the Type-C port or solar panel on the back. In addition to the TV, the remote can also control speaker systems, digital receivers, PS5, and only needs to be set up once.

The speaker quality of the S95F model is quite good, the sound field effect is wide. If you want to upgrade the sound of the same brand, users can choose soundbar systems such as the HW-Q990F. The speaker set with 11.1.4 sound setup, completely wireless connection helps reduce the hassle of installing at home.

The biggest design change is the subwoofer, which is now more compact. In addition to its own audio features, this speaker set, when combined with a TV or other Samsung speakers, can create Q-Symphony surround sound simulation, enhancing the effect when playing games or watching action movies.

The strength of the Samsung OLED TV model comes from its slim, beautiful design and anti-glare feature, suitable for using TV at home or in a bright office space. The image quality is still very good, meeting both movie and gaming needs. In the 2025 OLED product line, the price of the S95F is equivalent to competing models such as the LG G5 or Sony Bravia 8II, but the company does not have a 55-inch option, so the starting price will be slightly higher than its competitors.
