Colors at the Spring Festival of Giap Thin 2024 in Hue city

On the afternoon of February 3, at Ly Tu Trong Park, Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province held the opening ceremony of the Giap Thin Spring Festival 2024.

With the theme "Quintessence of Heaven and Earth - Breakthrough Transformation", the 2024 Spring Festival takes place from February 3 to 14 (December 24, Quy Mao year to the 5th day of Tet Giap Thin year) with a large and impressive space.

Ly Tu Trong Park will be the center of the Spring Festival space. Here, the Organizing Committee will arrange artistic flower carpets, flower trains, symbolic models of the Year of the Dragon, such as a scene recreating dragon boat racing on the Perfume River.

At the park in front of Hue National High School for the Gifted, a model of a dragon facing the moon symbolizes the development of the country. Two dragon models combined with the image of hundreds of blooming flowers are meant to bring peace in the New Year.

In addition, the dragon image in front of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province is shaped like a flying dragon, representing a year of development and breakthrough.

Hue City Spring Festival also organized the decoration of 342,000 flowers of all kinds in parks and green spots; 160 flower baskets on main roads and "Flower Park" were arranged and set up in a large space, stretching along the Perfume River, concentrated at the following locations: Park space along Le Loi Street, Con Da Vien, Thuong Bac Park combined with walking paths on the Perfume River decorated with artistic flower spots.

Along with that, the Organizing Committee also arranged an artistic lighting system, decorated flower carpets, organized a Hue calligraphy space to give calligraphy at the beginning of the year to serve the people and tourists ...

At Thuong Bac Park, there will be a competition and display of yellow apricot trees organized by the Hue Yellow Apricot Association; folk games, cultural activities, martial arts, chess, exhibition space, product introduction and traditional craft demonstrations...

Coming to the Giap Thin Spring Festival 2024, people will immerse themselves in a space with flowers, artistic rocks, rockery, calligraphy carved on wood, and unique bonsai trees by artisans from 8 bonsai associations in the city and 65 artisans participating in the exhibition and competition.

Over the years, the Spring Festival has become one of the traditional cultural activities of Hue people, serving the entertainment needs of people and tourists during the New Year.
