Sports and Radio - Television organized the program "Happy Spring of the Year of the Dragon - Cultural nuances of Hoi An".

The program aims to promote the image of Hoi An to domestic and international tourists. The series of activities this year brought by the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is extremely diverse and rich. Accordingly, more than 40 artisans of traditional crafts from Hanoi and especially in Hoi An will directly guide tourists in making lanterns, making Thanh Ha pottery, Kim Bong carpentry... In addition, tourists can also enjoy Quang folk songs, singing sac bua, Ba Trao Cau Ngu performance, and Bai Choi game of people from Hoi An. Traditional dishes are also introduced to the public through the flavors of Quang noodles, Cao Lau, Banh Dap, Banh Bong Hong, etc. On the 8th and 9th of January, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the program "Hoi An Night - Lighting up the heritage" will recreate the space of Hoi An ancient town with brilliant lantern lights and craft performances, folk games of beating pots, calling out cards, practicing folk songs, etc. Along with that, the traditional Tet and culture of Hoi An are shown through interactive screens... At the Folk Architecture Garden, children can participate in folk games such as: sack jumping, carrying rice across the bridge, tug of war, walking on stilts, dragon dancing, bamboo pole dancing, throwing con, throwing pao, pushing sticks, playing badminton, playing mat, etc. Visitors also have the opportunity to visit the cultural space and enjoy typical dishes of Muong
cuisine .
This year, the museum is promoting the application of technology to target young people. Visitors can explore traditional cultural heritage, have the opportunity to participate in the Joyful Gift Tour to discover the meaning of Tet; QR Tour: Discover the Dragon Tet in the museum's exhibition space; Dragon painting contest and discover the children of the dragon,....
In addition, STEM activities help children apply scientific knowledge to make some toys related to the Tet theme. This makes it easier to attract young people to access cultural heritage.
Dr. Bui Ngoc Quang - Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology shared: "This is the second time the museum has cooperated with Hoi An city. We hope that with a series of rich activities during the Giap Thin spring, we will create a unique Hoi An cultural space, conveying the message and culture of Quang Nam to everyone."
The program “Happy Spring of Giap Thin - Cultural nuances of Hoi An” hopes that visitors, especially young people, will get closer to the traditional Tet holiday, learn about the meanings and beauty of Hoi An’s cultural heritages. From there, each person will know how to preserve and promote traditional culture in modern life.
