An Giang signs agreement to hand over martyrs' remains in Cambodia

From July 16 to 18, the Military Command of An Giang province signed a record of handing over the remains of 51 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Takeo and Kampong Speu provinces (Kingdom of Cambodia).

Colonel Chau Chac (Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command) expressed his gratitude for the close coordination and support of authorities at all levels, specialized boards, armed forces, and people of the two provinces... helping Team K93 (Provincial Military Command) complete the task of collecting and repatriating the remains of the 24th phase (dry season 2024 - 2025) to Vietnam. In the coming time, he hopes that the two provinces will continue to provide information about martyrs' graves, creating favorable conditions for Team K93 to carry out its tasks...

Since the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia (signed on August 28, 2000), Team K93 has searched for, collected, and repatriated 2,141 martyrs' remains in Takeo and Kampong Speu provinces.

The Party Committee, the Provincial Military Command, officers and soldiers always identify the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains as a central and continuous task. In addition, closely coordinate with domestic and foreign authorities to serve the task of searching for, collecting and repatriating martyrs' remains; do a good job of mass mobilization, create consensus and support from the people and the political system for this sacred and noble task.
