Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio and Television reporter won second prize in the 2024 Science and Technology Journalism Award

In 2024, the Organizing Committee received nearly 200 works/groups of works from authors and groups of authors. The Ministry of Science and Technology approved and awarded 24 outstanding press works. Including 4 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes. The group of authors Xuan Luong and Ba Loi of Dong Nai Newspaper, Radio and Television was honored to receive the second prize in the television category with the work "Application of technology to protect national forests".

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the award is not only an occasion to honor outstanding journalistic works, but also an opportunity to look back on the past journey, affirming the great values of journalism in the cause of national development, especially in the context of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation becoming strategic pillars for a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong assessed: Science and technology journalism not only reflects achievements but also criticizes, contributes to policies, and raises big questions for the whole society to find answers. The Ministry of Science and Technology will continue to create favorable conditions for press agencies, from supporting research, technology application, digital transformation, to providing official scientific data sources; strengthen coordination so that science and technology journalism truly becomes the core force in national science and technology communication.
