What to expect from Galaxy S24?
For months now, rumors have suggested that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S24 in January, and it looks like those reports were correct. In recent years, Samsung has refreshed its Galaxy lineup in February, so this year's timeframe is earlier than usual.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to use a titanium frame, similar to its rivals the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. This chip has appeared in the RedMagic 9 Pro, the 8 Gen 3 is quite powerful and more importantly, it can support AI on the device, which Samsung hinted at in the event tagline.
Another report suggests the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra will use 12GB of RAM, while the S24 will still use 8GB of RAM like the S23. According to Nikkei , the S24 will be equipped with an instant translation feature thanks to the new chips. The AI Live Translation Call feature (AI call translation), applied to voice calls, supports the most popular languages such as English, Spanish, before adding Japanese, Korean...
The new feature works even when users are chatting with people who don't have Samsung phones. It also shows the translation right on the screen. Samsung introduced the language processing AI technology at its developer events in November and is looking to integrate it into its products.
