The three flagship Galaxy S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra that many people are expecting will be launched by Samsung at Unpacked. According to some sources, these are "AI Phones" with many interesting features. In particular, the launch time of these products is also earlier than usual. In previous years, the company usually announced the new Galaxy in February.
Samsung has revealed that the device will include a real-time call translation feature, so an American can call a Brazilian and both will understand what the other person is saying directly, without the need for a third-party app or data processing via a remote server.
Samsung is reportedly working with multiple partners to add AI features to its devices. At CES 2024, the South Korean tech giant teamed up with Marvel Studios for a marketing campaign centered on the Las Vegas Sphere.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is also planning to announce its own AI services at its WWDC 2024 developer conference. How AI will change the smartphone experience remains to be seen.
Research firm Counterpoint estimates that more than a billion AI-enabled smartphones will be shipped by the end of 2027. This week's Unpacked 2024 event will be an early opportunity for Samsung to seize the opportunity.
