On the afternoon of August 26, a representative of the Security Center - Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that the incident had affected about 7 flights. For passengers who missed their flights, the relevant units provided maximum support to arrange the next flights.
According to initial information, at around 10am, the departure procedure area at the international terminal was congested, with long lines of passengers, many of whom were impatient as the flight time approached. Some passengers took the opportunity to sit and rest in the terminal lobby. Due to the system interruption, departure procedures could not be performed manually, so many flights were forced to wait for passengers, even passengers who had been sitting on the plane for hours waiting for passengers who had not yet passed through the check-in gate.

Airlines continuously broadcast reassurance, arrange priority lanes for passengers close to flight times, and prepare plans to change flights to minimize risks.
By noon, the system was gradually restored and the counters were operating again.
According to the security center, the exit system depends entirely on the transmission line so manual operations such as entering documents are not possible .
Also on August 26, many flights were disrupted due to bad weather. Some domestic passengers said their flights had to be delayed due to thunderstorms.
Airline representatives said that the stormy weather has forced many flights to and from Tan Son Nhat to adjust their schedules, causing delays in other flights during the day.
