Real-life experience and lessons beyond expectations
According to student Pham Thi Phuong Anh, Foreign Trade University, in the final round, the teams had just over an hour to complete a communication product for the school they were attending. All stages – from writing prompts, scripting to post-production – had to be done using AI tools. Notably, the Organizing Committee applied AI to score according to a set of criteria (prompt) built by the lecturers, ensuring fairness for all teams. This is a modern learning and testing method, and we are fortunate to have access to it.
Ms. Pham Thi Nhu Quynh, Head of the E-commerce Department, FPT Polytechnic College, said: "Using AI to grade exams both objectifies the results and is a way for lecturers to update technology, thereby guiding students to use AI effectively and responsibly."
"This can be considered a 'crash training course' for many students. They will learn how to conduct market research using AI and create videos using AI tools in a limited time; and they will also have the opportunity to connect with a community of technology-loving students from many different colleges and universities," said Dr. Bui Thi Thanh Huong, Faculty of Marketing, Commerce and Tourism, University of Economics and Business Administration, Thai Nguyen University.
There were 10 prizes awarded to 10 competing teams, of which the first prize went to the Big Win team (FPT Polytechnic College), the second prize went to the OPTIMIST team (Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology), and the third prize went to the Three Meo Meo team (FPT Polytechnic College).
Student Nguyen Kim Trang, representative of the Big Win team, expressed her pride in bringing victory to the school, and expressed her gratitude for the practical comments from the judges. "The process of reviewing the exam helped us realize many things, accumulating experience in using AI for our future careers," Trang shared.

More than a competition
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Vice Principal and Head of Training Department of FPT Polytechnic College, said that the contest is part of a series of activities responding to the movement "Popular digital education, "Popular AI" launched by the Government. The final results continue to affirm the efforts of colleges and universities in the Northern region in general, and FPT Polytechnic College in particular, in bringing AI platforms into classrooms, developing core technologies and creating an AI ecosystem for the younger generation. "We pursue the AI First motto, making AI a key skill. Gen Z not only knows how to use, but must comprehensively exploit and master digital technology to participate deeply in the digital economy and society," said Mr. Nam.
Although it was held for the first time, "Gen Z x Gen AI" became a meeting place for knowledge, creativity and the spirit of applying technology to life. From breakthrough marketing ideas to quality media products, the event showed that when given tools and a creative environment, Vietnamese students can completely master artificial intelligence - not only for studying, but also to conquer the global labor market.
