On the afternoon of March 1, at Nha Trang University Stadium, the opening ceremony of the qualifying round of the South Central and Central Highlands regions - the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 THACO Cup took place.
Thousands of fans from the football teams also attended the opening ceremony and cheered for the players, creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere throughout the stands.
According to a Nha Trang University official, this is the first time the stadium has been packed with fans, possibly the most ever for a football match. Some images captured by Thanh Nien reporters.

The qualifying round of the South Central and Central Highlands region - the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 THACO Cup takes place from March 1 to March 7, 2024 at Nha Trang University Stadium with 6 participating teams: Nha Trang University, Khanh Hoa University, Nha Trang College of Tourism, Nha Trang College of Technology, Tay Nguyen University, Da Lat University. The 6 teams are divided into 2 groups and compete in a round-robin format in each group to calculate points and rank. The top 2 teams in each group will compete in a play-off match for 1 spot in the final round.
