On the morning of October 12, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) opened direct ticket sales at the counter for the second leg match between Nepal and Vietnam in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, taking place on October 14 at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).
According to plan, tickets will be sold from 9:30 - 11:30 (morning) and 15:30 - 19:00 (afternoon) at the ticket counter in front of Thong Nhat Stadium.
However, the organizers had to open ticket sales an hour earlier because they were concerned that the increasingly long queues would affect traffic around the area. Since 7am, many fans had been lining up to wait for ticket sales to open.
Because this is the match that Nepal chose Thong Nhat Stadium as their home ground, so the number of tickets sold is not as high as when Vietnam is the home ground. Previously, the return match tickets sold online were also sold out.
Therefore, those who have not been able to buy tickets are waiting for the direct sale at this counter to buy tickets to support coach Kim Sang Sik and his team.

Like Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, who lives in Long An, also rode his motorbike to Ho Chi Minh City early to wait in line to buy tickets. At 8am, he arrived at the stadium, but forgot to withdraw money, so he had to find an ATM to withdraw money and then return to line up again.
He bought tickets at 9 o'clock, but they were only in stand C, but joy was still radiant on his face.
"It's been a long time since I had the chance to watch the Vietnamese team play in the South, so I had to take advantage of it. For the first leg against Nepal at Go Dau Stadium, I had to look after my 18-month-old son, so I couldn't go watch. But I can go watch this match," he said with a smile.
Being a fan of Vietnamese football and midfielder Hoang Duc, Mr. Chi Thanh named his son after his idol. Unfortunately, his son is still too young, so he cannot bring his son along to cheer on October 14.
Mr. Tran Minh Luan, from Bao Loc but working in Ho Chi Minh City, arrived at Thong Nhat Stadium at 8am. He had to wait in line for 30 minutes for the ticket counter to open, but Mr. Minh Luan was able to quickly buy two tickets to cheer with his friends.
He shared: "This is the third time I have come to Thong Nhat Stadium to support the team. Nepal caused many difficulties for the Vietnamese team in the first leg despite losing 1-3, so the second leg is worth waiting for."
With two sellers, the morning tickets were sold out within an hour of opening. Therefore, many people were surprised when they found out that all the tickets were sold out and had to go back to wait to buy in the afternoon.
