“In Japan, the Vietnamese women’s football team will have three matches against teams from Japanese universities. I believe that after these three matches, my players will get used to the fast pace of play and be strong enough to face the naturalized players of the Philippines at the SEA Games,” added coach Mai Duc Chung.
At the upcoming 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, the Vietnamese women's football team will be missing a few key players, such as midfielder Chuong Thi Kieu and midfielder Duong Thi Van, due to injury. However, the team still has many experienced players who have competed in many major tournaments, such as Huynh Nhu, goalkeeper Kim Thanh, and Bich Thuy.
In particular, coach Mai Duc Chung praised the above players: “Huynh Nhu is still the pillar of the whole team. She plays with great courage. Huynh Nhu’s presence will help strengthen the Vietnamese women’s football team.”

“What Huynh Nhu has shown for the HCMC Women's Football Club, bringing the team to the quarter-finals of the AFC Women's Champions League, reflects her importance. In addition, Bich Thuy, goalkeeper Kim Thanh and midfielder Thai Thi Thao also played very well,” coach Mai Duc Chung emphasized.
On the evening of November 30, VFF sent off the Vietnam U22 team and the Vietnam women's football team to the 33rd SEA Games. Both teams officially set the goal of winning gold medals in the men's and women's football events at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games .
