In response to the increasingly demanding requirements of Task A80 – the parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd – logistics and technical units throughout the army have proactively reviewed and adjusted their regular logistics support plans to prioritize this particularly important task. Logistics support plans have been implemented systematically, scientifically , and meticulously, covering everything from food, accommodation, and living arrangements to the transportation of troops and logistical supplies. Pre-processing areas, mess halls, and prefabricated kitchens have been strategically located to ensure quick and efficient service, while maintaining nutritional standards and food safety and hygiene.

Major General Huynh Tan Hung, Deputy Head of the General Department of Logistics and Technology, and Deputy Head of the A80 Parade and Marching Subcommittee of the Ministry of National Defense, inspects the meals of the parade and marching forces.

To ensure the health and physical fitness of soldiers during high-intensity, prolonged training, logistics units have actively innovated menus, focusing on improving the quality of dishes in a diverse manner and with flavors suitable to the region. Food is carefully selected from reputable suppliers, ensuring high quality, freshness, and traceability.

Major Cao Minh Giang, Assistant Quartermaster, Quartermaster Department, Logistics and Technical Department, Special Forces Command, shared: “We thoroughly understand that serving the A80 mission is our central political task. Each meal portion is calculated specifically and in detail so that the soldiers can focus on training and be ready for the general rehearsal and the official ceremony in the best physical and mental condition. We especially focus on innovating the dishes to make them attractive, nutritious, suitable for the season, and supplementing essential nutrients such as protein, vitamins, and fiber.”

Inspect the barracks where artillery troops will rest during parades.

Hoang Thi Kim Anh, a member of the Military Medical Officers' Unit, said: “I have participated in many training sessions, but this time I truly see a comprehensive improvement in the quality of logistics. The menu is adjusted daily, ensuring no repetition, and the dishes, from vegetables and soups to main courses, are all well-balanced and delicious. The garlic butter fried shrimp and beef stir-fried with mushrooms are very popular among the women because they provide sufficient protein and are easy to digest.”

In addition to focusing on food quality, the kitchens also strictly implement food safety and hygiene procedures, from sourcing ingredients, preparation, cooking, to serving meals. All food must be fresh daily, with clear origins; the rice used for cooking is the high-quality ST25 variety; and absolutely no frozen food past its expiration date or drinking water not on the regulated list is used.

Major General Huynh Tan Hung, Deputy Head of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services, and Deputy Head of the A80 Parade and Marching Subcommittee of the Ministry of National Defense, inspected the progress of constructing prefabricated buildings to accommodate kitchens.

Along with nutrition, environmental hygiene, waste management, and water supply are strictly and seriously implemented. Waste is collected and transported twice a day, in coordination with specialized waste treatment units, and removed from the barracks area. The training and living environment is always clean and tidy, ensuring the "three clean" conditions – clean eating areas, clean sleeping areas, and clean training areas.

Major General Huynh Tan Hung, Deputy Head of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services, who directly inspected and directed the logistics support for the A80 mission, emphasized: “The General Department clearly identifies the A80 mission as a particularly important political mission. Therefore, logistics support must be carried out with the highest sense of responsibility, meticulously planning each meal, training time, health, and living condition so that the troops have the best physical and mental condition for the general rehearsal and the official ceremony. We require agencies and units to feed the troops scientifically - serve wholeheartedly - and ensure absolute safety. Not only must the food be nutritious, but it must also be delicious, suitable to the taste, and appropriate according to the season and region.”

The inspection team checked the catering arrangements for the Naval Parade Unit.

In the coming period, mess halls will continue to innovate their menus, diversifying high-quality food to enhance meals. Simultaneously, soldiers will be provided with increased amounts of freshly squeezed orange juice, tangerine juice, herbal teas, effervescent vitamin C tablets, and electrolyte drinks to replenish fluids, boost immunity, and combat fatigue during prolonged training in hot weather. The Logistics and Technical Support Force is meticulously and thoughtfully preparing down to the smallest detail to truly be a source of morale and a strong support system, contributing to ensuring the health, willpower, and determination of the soldiers to successfully complete Mission A80 – a particularly important political mission for the entire army in 2025.
