ANTD.VN - Enterprises will have to fully pay the extended value-added tax for May, June, July, and August 2023 no later than December 20, 2023.

The Hanoi Tax Department has just sent an open letter to taxpayers regarding the payment of tax arrears that have expired in December 2023.

VAT extension period for June, July, August, September is about to expire

Previously, to remove difficulties for businesses and help businesses and organizations have more financial resources as well as opportunities to restore production and business activities, the Government issued Decree 12/2023/ND-CP dated April 14, 2023 on extending the deadline for payment of value added tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax and land rent in 2023.

Accordingly, the deadline for paying value added tax for the tax periods of May, June, July and August will be extended to no later than December 20, 2023.

Therefore, the Hanoi Tax Department informs and requests taxpayers in the city who have value added tax payments for May, June, July, and August 2023 that are eligible for tax payment extensions under Decree 12/2023/ND-CP to proactively arrange financial resources to pay the above tax amount to the state budget as soon as the tax payment extension period ends (December 20, 2023).

“Immediately after the tax payment extension period expires and your business has not fully paid the above-mentioned extended value-added tax, the Tax Authority will have to apply measures to enforce the administrative decision on tax management according to the provisions of the Tax Management Law No. 38/2019/QH14 dated June 13, 2019” – Hanoi Tax Department stated.
