Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc emphasized at the Song Festival event, a main activity in the series of events for Vietnam Card Day 2025 taking place on the evening of October 18, co-organized by Tien Phong Newspaper and Vietnam National Payment Corporation (Napas).

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the banking sector and relevant parties to increase investment in technology and digital infrastructure, and quickly popularize cashless payments nationwide. At the same time, strengthen international connections; promote training and development of digital human resources; and increase propaganda and dissemination of knowledge and skills in digital payments.

“This is not only a vibrant festival for young people, but also a forum for leaders, managers and people to see the important achievements of the banking and financial sectors in the process of national digital transformation,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

According to the National Financial Inclusion Strategy to 2025, vision 2030, Vietnam aims for 80% of adults to have bank transaction accounts; the growth rate of non-cash payments to reach 20-25% per year.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said that cashless payment is a trend and a belief of society in digital payment. With the theme "One touch - Ten thousand beliefs", Vietnam Card Day 2025 has conveyed the message of belief in safety, efficiency, savings, with legal regulations and a solid security foundation, protecting the assets of people and businesses.

“Cashless payment is an inevitable and irreversible trend, the main flow in payment. This is a very practical activity, contributing to the implementation of Resolution 57 on science and technology development and Resolution 68 on private economic development issued by the Politburo ,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Governor of the State Bank Pham Tien Dung pledged that the banking industry will widely deploy non-cash payment methods in all aspects of life, as well as pay attention to protecting the rights and legitimate interests of users.

According to the Deputy Governor, in recent years, the rate of cashless payments has grown strongly, contributing to transparency of transactions, reducing social costs and promoting digital economic growth.

In the context of increasingly sophisticated AI and data attacks, security, transaction safety, and digital asset protection are of particular concern to banks and technology businesses.

With the message "One touch - Ten thousand trusts", the Organizing Committee of Vietnam Card Day wishes to convey the message: just one touch via card, QR code or biometrics can open up thousands of connections, from technology - consumption - finance connections to trust in a safe, transparent and sustainable digital payment ecosystem in Vietnam's digital future.
