According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, as of 12:00 on July 29, the number of candidates registering for university admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's system was 702,762, an increase of about 60,000 compared to the total number of candidates registered in 2023. The system has been operating stably in recent days.

Similar to previous years, this year candidates are allowed to register an unlimited number of wishes. However, arranging the order of wishes is always a difficult problem for all candidates. Before the announcement of some schools, candidates are even more worried. Specifically, the University of Public Health announced: Candidates will only be officially recognized as admitted to the University of Public Health when: Candidates register correctly with the school code (YTC) and the conditionally admitted major code as wish 1 on the admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training within the prescribed time from July 18 to before 5:00 p.m. on July 30.

Hai Duong Medical Technical University also announced: To be officially admitted to the school, candidates need to register their wishes on the general admission support system of the Ministry of Education and Training at https://thisinh.thithptquocgia.edu.vn or the national public service portal from July 18 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, setting the eligible major as the first wish.

For candidates who have been admitted to university under the early admission method, many are worried about the requirement to place their first choice for early admission results that some universities have put forward. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Director of the Department of Higher Education explained that except for the two groups of Public Security and Military schools, which have clear regulations on only admitting students with the first choice, for other schools, when considering admission, candidates with higher scores will be admitted first, even if their choice is placed in a lower position. That is the superiority of the system. Of course, candidates must not have been admitted to the above choices, because if they have been admitted, the system will no longer consider the lower choices.

Thus, the arrangement of wishes needs to be based on the wishes and other conditions of the candidates. Just because you have been admitted under the early admission plan, do not put your first wish up if it is not the major or school you want to study the most. In addition, the admission will be based from high to low, if you do not pass the first wish, then you will consider the second wish. If you fail the second wish, then you will consider the third wish... so candidates also need to pay attention to the question, if you pass that wish, will you study or not. Do not "register and study at university" just to pass the university entrance exam when you do not understand or love that major.

According to Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chief Specialist of the Department of Higher Education, at the 2024 university and college admissions consultation day, candidates need to carefully review their priority points so as not to affect their future university admission or failure results. If they find any incorrect or incorrect priority benefits, candidates need to request their high school to correct them immediately.
