In order to complete the construction of the Ring Road 3.5 project, the Thang Long Avenue - National Highway 32 section, the contractor must clear about 6,000m2 of the Vuon Chuoi Relic Site. However, for the past 7 years, the site has not been excavated or relocated.
The project was cleared for the contractor to speed up construction progress.
Recently, with the approval and permission for excavation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Hoai Duc district organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the Excavation and relocation of the Vuon Chuoi archaeological site within the scope of the Ring Road 3.5 Project. The construction period is 330 days.
Hoai Duc District People's Committee said that this is a good sign after many years of project stagnation due to land clearance problems. It is expected that by the first quarter of 2025, the excavation and relocation of the Vuon Chuoi Relic Site will be completed, and the construction project of the Ring Road 3.5 will resume.
According to the People's Committee of Hoai Duc district, up to now, the Ring Road 3.5 project has completed 90% of the work in phase 1, 75% in phase 2 and 30% in phase 3.
According to the reporter's records, phase 1 of the project (from Thang Long Avenue to Hau Ai Bridge) has basically taken shape. The road surface has been paved with asphalt. Trees and lighting have been installed...
Phase 2 (from Hau Ai Bridge to Highway 32 intersection) still has many items in disarray. At the construction site, a number of workers and machines are mobilized to carry out items such as leveling the ground, rolling the foundation, curbing...
Phase 3 (600m long) just started construction in June 2023, and the contractor is currently implementing the construction.
The project to build Ring Road 3.5 (from Thang Long Avenue to National Highway 32) has a length of 5.5km, a total investment of more than 1,795 billion VND, with the People's Committee of Hoai Duc district as the investor.
The project started in 2017 and was expected to be completed after a year, but it is still not finished.
The reason is due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, local problems in site clearance as well as in completing procedures to hand over the site for construction, high prices of raw materials...
The completion of Ring Road 3.5 is of special importance, contributing to connecting the North and South of the Red River, gradually synchronizing the regional infrastructure system.
The completed project will reduce traffic congestion, serve people's convenient travel, create conditions for socio -economic development, and contribute to changing the appearance of the western area of the city...
