Recently, the agricultural sector has been effective in biological control of two harmful pests, black-headed caterpillars and coconut beetles.

Accordingly, 25,970 pintail beetles and nearly 128 million black-headed parasitic wasps were released.

At the same time, in coordination with the Southern Center for Cultivation and Plant Protection, 1,000 adult pintail beetles were released on 5 hectares of coconut in Trung Ngai commune and 2,835 mummy wasps parasitizing black-headed caterpillars on 2 hectares of coconut in Song Phu commune.
