In Game 1, SGP demonstrated the strength of the reigning Arena of Valor (AoV) champions by dominating their opponent in the opening minutes. Around the 3:30 mark, SGP took down VGM's first turret even while it was still protected. Less than a minute later, "The Ghosts of Saigon" successfully destroyed the second turret and advanced close to their opponent's base. Despite VGM's relentless defense efforts, the "King of Resilience" couldn't turn the tide and suffered a 0-1 defeat.
SaigonPhantom (SGP) got off to a good start in the 2023 Spring VCS Finals.
In the second game, VGM seemed to "wake up" and engaged in fierce back-and-forth exchanges. Although Maris was the MVP of the game that leveled the score at 1-1 for "The Black and Gold Birds," the victory would not have been possible without the outstanding performance and precise plays of captain Han.

SGP once again took the lead in game 3 thanks to excellent team positioning and effective support from Fish with Kahlii in the mid lane, utilizing the ultimate ability "Spirit Army" in attacks and putting pressure on their opponents. In a team fight around the 13th minute, SGP gained a numerical advantage and stormed VGM's base, ending the game at 13:20.
The final match returned to square one after game 4 when VGM leveled the score at 2-2 with SGP, but Lai Bâng and his teammates took the lead again for the third consecutive time in game 5, after 25 minutes of intense back-and-forth.
SPG fans had an electrifying Sunday evening.
VGM and SGP have faced each other numerous times in the Arena of Valor finals, but the victory has always gone to the team nicknamed "The Ghosts of Saigon". In their last three consecutive encounters in the Arena of Valor finals, SGP defeated VGM each time, becoming the team with the most prestigious swords and shields in Vietnamese Arena of Valor.
SGP has surpassed Team Flash to become the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team with the most Arena of Valor championships in Vietnam.
In the 2022 Winter VCS Finals held in Ho Chi Minh City, VGM came close to winning their dream championship after winning the first three games of the best-of-seven series. However, SGP once again proved their title of "King of the Domestic Market" was well-deserved by turning the tide, leveling the score at 3-3, and ending VGM's hopes with a final victory of 4-3.
