Việt NamViệt Nam01/11/2024

In order to support customers to have safe experiences when using domestic and debit card services, SHB respectfully sends customers the following instructions and recommendations:

  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE CARD TRANSACTIONS AT ATMS
  • SET card transaction limits that are appropriate for your needs on SHB Mobile.
  • CHECK balance changes, get notified of your card transactions as soon as they are received.
  • Always look around and COVER the keypad when entering your PIN.
  • Before inserting the card into the machine, CHECK carefully the card reader, keyboard, and screen to ensure there are no abnormalities.
  • Always CHECK the amount and take back your card after making a transaction.
  • REMEMBER your PIN instead of writing it on your card or in visible places. Change your PIN regularly and do not use easily guessable information (date of birth, ID number, anniversary date).
  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE CARD TRANSACTIONS AT POS
  • MAKE SURE the transaction is done within sight, do not allow the cashier to photocopy or record the information printed on the card. RETURN THE CARD IMMEDIATELY after the cashier completes the transaction.
  • ALWAYS COVER the keypad when entering your PIN.
  • CHECK carefully the content and total amount to be paid before signing the transaction invoice.
  • CANCEL (shred) receipts before discarding.
  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE CARD TRANSACTIONS OVER THE INTERNET
  • Only TRANSACTION ON REPUTABLE WEBSITES (starting with https:// and having a padlock symbol), trusted and highly secure shopping addresses. BE CAREFUL of emails or websites with many spelling errors, strange emails, asking for personal information.
  • Download the app from OFFICIAL SOURCES such as CH Play (Android) and Apple Store (IOS).
  • CAREFULLY READ the website terms and conditions before agreeing to the transaction/payment.

Once again, to ensure the safety and security of card financial transactions; SHB recommends:

  • SHB NEVER ASKED CUSTOMERS TO PROVIDE CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION such as: login password, card PIN, CVC2 code, expiration date and OTP/Smart OTP in any form. In case you receive such letters/calls, please DO NOT RESPOND OR PROVIDE INFORMATION .
  • DO NOT TRANSACTION if you suspect the ATM has strange or unusual equipment or the ATM is in an undamaged condition.
  • DO NOT use public devices for transactions.
  • DO NOT save your login account and password associated with your card information on your website browser during transactions.
  • DO NOT reply to strange emails/calls asking for information (personal, card account, payment account, username/password to access mobile app and internet banking...).
  • In case of suspicion that your card information and data may have been compromised; lost card; unusual transactions; changes in personal information (Citizen ID number, contact address, transaction statement receiving address, email or mobile phone number...), please DO NOT CONTINUE TRANSACTION and IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY the nearest SHB branch staff / or hotline *6688 for reception and guidance.

Wishing you safe transactions with SHB products and services!
