On the morning of March 8, Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company announced that the first Thang Long ship sailing on the Vung Tau - Con Dao route will depart on March 9. The journey from Vung Tau to Con Dao takes about 3 hours.
This is the largest passenger high-speed train in Vietnam to date.
Accordingly, the ship is more than 77m long, nearly 9.5m wide, and can accommodate up to 1,070 passengers.

Mr. Vu Van Khuong - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Phu Quoc Express - added that the Thang Long ship was specially designed to run the route from Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao. Therefore, the length of the ship is up to more than 77m to rest on at least four waves. This is to create stability and reduce maximum vibration.
"The Thang Long super speedboat can operate safely on vast seas, to the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa islands," said Mr. Khuong.
Ticket price, schedule of Thang Long high-speed train
Ticket prices for this train range from 790,000 - 1.2 million VND/trip. Tickets for children, the disabled and the elderly range from 550,000 - 760,000 VND/trip.
This boat departs from Vung Tau at 7:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The return trip departs at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
