Due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Wipha) and unfavorable actual operating conditions, the two high-speed ferry companies Phu Quoc Express and Phu Quy Express announced the temporary suspension of operations to Con Dao to ensure passenger safety.

Specifically, the Phu Quoc Express high-speed boat will temporarily suspend the Vung Tau - Con Dao - Vung Tau route from July 22 to July 25. The boat is expected to resume operation on July 26.

The airline applies the following passenger support policy: tickets for the suspended days will be fully refunded; passengers can transfer tickets to other days in July or August 2025.

Tickets transferred to July 26 will remain valid, with no weekend surcharge.

At the same time, Phu Quy Express ship also announced to temporarily suspend operations on the Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao route and vice versa from July 21 to 25.

The ship is expected to resume operations on July 26, depending on actual weather conditions and announcements from authorities.

Customers who have booked tickets can contact the company for support in refunding or changing tickets (if there is a next flight).

Phu Quoc Express operates the Vung Tau - Con Dao route, travel time is about 3 hours and 50 minutes, departs daily, capacity is about 1,000 passengers.

Phu Quy Express ship operates the route Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao, departing from Nha Rong wharf, travel time is about 5-6 hours.

Previously, on July 21, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued an urgent document requesting departments, branches, localities and special zones, including Con Dao, to deploy response plans for storm No. 3.

The sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau (including Ho Chi Minh City) is forecasted to have strong winds of level 5-6, gusts of level 7-8, waves of 2-3m high, rough seas. The City People's Committee directs coastal localities and Con Dao to proactively ensure safety for people, vehicles operating at sea, tourist boats and rescue plans./.
