The parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day will take place tomorrow morning, September 2, at Ba Dinh Square.

The parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, will be held from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. tomorrow, September 2, at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi .

Vietnam Television will broadcast live the celebration, parade, and march from 6:00 to 9:15 a.m. on September 2 on VTV1 channel.

National event, attended by about 40,000 people

The celebration program includes a traditional torch procession, flag-raising ceremony, speeches by Party and State leaders, military parade, march and art performance.

This is a national event, with the participation of about 40,000 people. The forces participating in the parade are divided into 87 groups, including 4 honor guard groups; 13 mass groups; 22 army groups; 3 militia and guerilla groups; 17 police groups; 14 military vehicle and artillery groups; 9 police special vehicle groups and the red flag group.

The Vietnam People's Air Force will have a welcome flight with 30 aircraft including Mi helicopters, Su-30MK2 fighters, Yak-130 multi-role fighters, L-29NG training aircraft, and Casa transport aircraft.

The event also had the participation of parade forces from 4 guest countries, divided into 4 military blocs: China, Russia, Laos and Cambodia.

In particular, for the first time, Vietnam organized a parade at sea, including the Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard, Fisheries Surveillance, Naval Air Force...

The sea parade will take place at Cam Ranh military base ( Khanh Hoa ), the image will be transmitted to the main screen at Ba Dinh square.

The sea parade with the participation of modern warship and submarine squadrons capable of long-term combat, equipped with missiles, torpedoes, high-tech weapons, etc. further affirmed the power to control the sea and airspace of the Fatherland.

In addition, the standing forces include the honor guard and 29 standing units (18 armed forces units, 11 mass units) along with the formation and letter formation forces.

In the area in front of My Dinh Stadium, 15 105mm ceremonial cannons will fire.

Route of the parade blocks

According to the planned schedule, after passing the stage, the parade groups will turn in 7 directions.

Specifically, the Royal Guards block goes in the direction of Nguyen Thai Hoc - Trang Thi - Trang Tien, ending at August Revolution Square.

The walking group (Army, Police, Militia, Foreign delegations) goes in 3 main directions: Nguyen Thai Hoc - Kim Ma - Lieu Giai - Van Cao - Quan Ngua Stadium; Nguyen Thai Hoc - Trang Thi - Trang Tien - August Revolution Square; Nguyen Thai Hoc - Le Duan - Thong Nhat Park.

The Mobile Police and Cavalry turned onto Le Hong Phong - Ngoc Ha Street, towards Bach Thao Park.

The Red Flag Block turns from Le Hong Phong - Doi Can - Giang Van Minh - Kim Ma - Lieu Giai to Quan Ngua Sports Palace.

The Mass, Culture - Sports Block went straight through the stage, ending at Hang Day Stadium (model car turned Nguyen Thai Hoc - Trinh Hoai Duc).

The block of tanks and crawlers turned Le Hong Phong towards the Ministry of National Defense headquarters.

The motor vehicle block is divided into 2 main routes: Cua Bac - Nghi Tam - Au Co - Vo Chi Cong - Lang road - Tran Duy Hung - Thang Long avenue - Le Quang Dao - F1 racetrack.

Nguyen Thai Hoc - Giang Vo - Lang Street - Tran Duy Hung - Thang Long Boulevard - Le Quang Dao - F1 Racetrack.

After turning in different directions, the Honor Guard will assemble at August Revolution Square. The Army, Police, Militia, and foreign forces will assemble at Quan Ngua Stadium.

Part of the pedestrian group gathered at Thong Nhat Park. The Mobile Police and Cavalry groups gathered at Bach Thao Park.

The Red Flag Block gathered at Quan Ngua Stadium (direction to Doi Can). The Mass, Culture - Sports Block gathered at Hang Day Stadium and the Mechanical and Vehicle Block gathered at the F1 Racetrack.

Along with that, there will be an art program held at Quan Ngua Cultural Palace and August Revolution Square (Opera House) to strengthen the connection between the armed forces and the people."

Along the streets, Hanoi City has installed 270 LED screens for people to watch the celebration live.
