"Working with Jackson was not easy. We had fans who waited in taxis all day just so they could jump in as soon as we left the venue, or they jumped on motorbike taxis to follow us," Simon told the Cannes Film Festival in an exclusive interview.
"They even tried to crawl under us to get to Michael. We were in four cars, but people didn't stop. Michael had so many people around him that he didn't feel scared, but he was always being pulled from one person to another," he added.
Alongside Michael, stars Simon has worked with include Bella Hadid , Gigi Hadid, Rita Ora, Kendall Jenner… as they moved from the US to the UK.
Having worked with Bella on numerous occasions, including at London Fashion Week, Simon describes : "Bella is always fantastic. Honestly, she's not fussy. And Kendall is the same. I've had a great time with them and we've never had any problems. When I say no to somewhere they want to go, they listen and rarely argue back."
When asked if Simon has a lot of free time with the rich and famous, he replied: "Most of the time celebrities spend in public taking pictures, so we don't have much free time. But sometimes there is a relaxing day when we go shopping or go to the beach."
From Michael Jackson's bodyguard to actor
Despite leaving his bodyguard job, Simon still owns his own company, Askari Security, which provides security for major celebrity events, multi-million dollar homes and major online TV companies. He is also the owner of clothing line Simon Newton London.

Simon is trying his hand at acting and has recently started training at drama school - a job he describes as "scarier" than his previous life-threatening work in the army and as a celebrity bodyguard.
"I was a bodyguard, working in Afghanistan and Iraq for quite a long time. Obviously it's dangerous work, but not as scary as acting. I'm not a natural actor, but I'm not bad at it and I really enjoy it," he said.
Simon has just finished filming his new film Retribution , which is due for release in November. "I'm always being typecast as a security guard, a cop, a gangster, a boxer, or something like that. I get a lot of those roles, but, you know, I'm 46, so if that's what they want me to do, that's fine," Simon continued.
Michael Jackson's former bodyguard has said his dream is to star in a James Bond film. While the lead role of 007 may be too ambitious, he would still like to take on a small role in the franchise.
