With many outstanding achievements in studying and constant efforts in the Youth Union - Association movements, student Pham Van Mai, Vice President of the Student Association of Duy Tan University, has excelled to become one of 96 students nationwide to be honored with the title of January Star at the 74th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Students - Students and the Vietnam Student Association (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2024) of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association. Along with the title of January Star, Duy Tan University also has:
- 2 students achieved the title of 5 Good Students at the Central level (out of a total of 196 students)
- 3 Central-level 5-Good Student groups (out of a total of 29 groups)
- 51 5-good students at city level and 165 5-good students at school level.

Pham Van Mai - January Star with the affectionate name "blue shirt leader"
Coming from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, School of Technology (SET) of Duy Tan University, Pham Van Mai is affectionately called the "green shirt leader" by everyone because of his dynamism, enthusiasm and passion for dedicating himself to all activities of the youth union. Growing up in a farming family, from a young age, Pham Van Mai understood the hardships of his parents' daily work. Therefore, Mai tried to study and practice while arranging time to help with some of his family's farming work.
Mai shared: "My parents are busy all year round with the fields and gardens so that all 5 siblings in the family can study properly and have the best career development. Understanding the hardships of our parents, we always remind each other to try hard to study to make our parents happy. My siblings and I not only learn perseverance and patience in all circumstances from our parents, but also learn the virtues of altruism and friendliness from our standard behavior, community-oriented lifestyle and harmony with those around us."
As soon as he came to study at Duy Tan University, the young man Pham Van Mai chose a positive lifestyle by both studying and training hard and enthusiastically participating in youth movements. He simultaneously held many positions such as: Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, Member of the Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Student Association, Vice President of the Duy Tan University Student Association, Member of the Executive Committee of the Duy Tan University Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the School of Technology (SET), Duy Tan University.

The noble title "January Star" recently awarded by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association is the sweet result of his continuous efforts in community activities. In addition, there are some other notable achievements of student Pham Van Mai such as:

- Certificate of Merit "For outstanding achievements in the Green Summer volunteer campaign" in 2023,

Despite his dedication to the school's Youth Union activities, the "blue shirt leader" still pays great attention to balancing his study time so as not to neglect his studies and research. The clearest evidence is that Pham Van Mai's average score for the 2022-2023 school year is excellent with 3.31/4.00 points. In addition, Mai is also one of the "top" students in studying and researching at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with many achievements:

Possessing a radiant smile and a pretty face, female student Tran Ngoc Thanh Doan is considered a "small flame" full of energy and enthusiasm in most of the Union activities of the Faculty of Medicine, School of Medicine and Pharmacy (CMP) in particular and Duy Tan University in general.

The girl from the "land of agarwood" Khanh Hoa said: " Although I have participated in Youth Union activities since very early, when I came to study at Duy Tan University, I found so many new things. It was the Youth Union activities at Duy Tan University with the friendly and enthusiastic brothers and sisters that helped me feel really close and gradually integrate into the common movements. The Youth Union activities helped me develop the extremely necessary 'soft' skills and my own hidden qualities. I see progress in myself every day by communicating and experiencing new things ".
Balancing the extremely busy study of a medical student with Union activities is not easy. However, with reasonable work and time management skills, Thanh Doan has conquered the difficulties to both study well and record many valuable achievements for common activities.
