In the Vietnamese economy , small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for more than 97% of the total number of enterprises, contributing nearly 45% of the country's GDP. However, with a modest scale, many businesses are struggling with a series of difficult problems: high technology investment costs, lack of specialized knowledge to keep up with the times, lack of tools for digital transformation, difficulty accessing capital, etc. To handle the above problems, they have to operate based on discrete pieces, making the process complicated, time-consuming and prone to error. The development needs of small and medium enterprises are increasing.
In reality, the biggest challenge for SMEs lies not only in capital, but also in knowledge and tools. Meanwhile, the Government has set a target that by 2025, Vietnam will strive to have 1.5 million effectively operating enterprises, of which 60,000-70,000 are medium and large enterprises, the rest are small enterprises. The program to support digital transformation of enterprises 2021-2025 aims to raise awareness of digital transformation of 100% of SMEs by 2025.
