Department of Natural Resources and Environment organizes activities in response to the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner in 2023

The Clean Up the World campaign was initiated by Australia and launched globally by the United Nations Environment Program in 1993. In recent years, in Vietnam, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has been the leading unit in launching and responding to the campaign, creating an important influence and change to the entire community in environmental protection work.

In response to the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner in 2023 with the theme "Joining hands for a cleaner world" , the People's Committee of Ca Mau province issued Official Dispatch No. 7209/UBND-NNTN dated September 11, 2023 assigning the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and localities to organize response activities in the province. From October 11 to 13, 2023, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinated with the People's Committees of Luong The Tran, Phu Hung and Thanh Phu communes (Cai Nuoc district) to organize the Launching Ceremony of the Environmental Sanitation Campaign in response to the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner in 2023, then implemented tree planting activities to create environmental landscapes and the program "Exchange plastic waste for gifts" in the above communes.

Through activities responding to the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner, we have contributed to raising awareness and responsibility of each citizen and community in protecting and maintaining environmental hygiene, increasing the reuse and recycling of waste; supporting communes in implementing environmental criteria in building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas./.
