On September 2, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, the whole country will witness a major event: the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The special highlight of this year's parade is the presence of military equipment researched, manufactured and modernized by the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ).

Accordingly, from the Truong Son missile complex, the S-125-VT system, suicide UAVs and reconnaissance UAVs, to the electronic warfare system, all were present at Ba Dinh Square, ready to show off their force.

Viettel's appearance in this year's parade shows the new stature of the high-tech defense enterprise, while affirming its determination to be self-sufficient in core technology and modernize the army.

The S-125-VT complex, researched, improved and designed by Viettel, is capable of destroying airborne attack vehicles. This is one of Viettel's typical military equipment that will appear in the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day. With complex weapons such as anti-aircraft missiles, Viettel has gradually mastered the technology and modernized the 'magic crossbow' to protect the sky of the Fatherland.

As a modernized version, the S-125-VT has superior features compared to the standard version of the Pechora complex, even with some features increased several times. The UNK-VT control vehicle acts as the heart of the S-125-VT complex. Thanks to the improved control system, the S-125-VT can guide 2 missiles at 2 targets at the same time. The hit rate against tactical aircraft targets is up to 90%. This is a high rate for air defense weapons.

All components of the S-125-VT complex are mounted on hydraulic lifts, which reduces deployment and recovery time. The control vehicle and power supply vehicle components are also mounted on a highly mobile field transport chassis.

This helps explain why the S-125-VT complex has a deployment and recovery time of only about 20 minutes, while the standard version is more than 90 minutes. This is very important for maneuvering the battlefield to avoid enemy attacks and firepower attacks in combat. The UNV-VT guidance radar system of the S-125-VT complex has been deeply improved, meeting the ability to operate well in a strong electronic suppression environment.

In addition to radar guidance and surveillance, the S-125-VT is also equipped with an electro-optical observation unit that helps detect and lock on low-flying targets or in the event of complete radar suppression.

Truong Son missile complex - one of the modern weapons that the Group is fully autonomous in research and development by Viettel engineers in Vietnam. Truong Son complex consists of a command and control vehicle, radar vehicle, launcher vehicle, missile transport and loading vehicle and inspection vehicle.

The radar system of the complex has a long scanning range, allowing for tracking, target indication and meeting the ability to destroy enemy surface ships and sea targets. This is a mobile shore-based missile complex, capable of firing anti-ship cruise missiles, with centrally controlled firepower, automatic calculation of firing elements and determination of flight trajectory.

In particular, the Red River missile is a subsonic cruise missile. Naming the complex after the Truong Son mountain range and the missile after the Red River has a deep symbolic meaning: the combination of “mountains and rivers”, affirming the determination to protect the sovereignty , territory and islands of the Fatherland.

The presence of Truong Son Complex on this occasion not only demonstrates Viettel's ability to master modern weapons technology, but is also a source of pride for the staff, engineers, and workers - those who directly research, manufacture, and bring to the public the creative results "made in Vietnam".

Radar complex, Electronic Warfare vehicle

Viettel introduced two modern radar systems researched and developed by its own staff and engineers. Among them, the VRS-2DM low-altitude radar is specially designed to detect and track low-flying targets, including stealth weapons, contributing to enhancing aerial surveillance capabilities. In addition, the three-coordinate VRS-MRS provides the ability to accurately determine the target location according to three parameters: distance, azimuth and altitude, thereby improving the effectiveness of surveillance and control of the sky in all combat situations.

In the parade formation, Viettel's Electronic Warfare Vehicle appeared majestically, demonstrating its ability to master modern technology. This is a weapon capable of reconnaissance, collection, analysis and interference of enemy electromagnetic signals, contributing to creating a "soft shield" to protect the country's electromagnetic space. With a mobile design on a specialized chassis, this system can be deployed quickly on many terrains, affirming Viettel's important progress in the field of electronic warfare.

Next is the Communications Vehicle, a symbol of connectivity, ensuring seamless command information in all combat situations. Based on the leading telecommunications and information technology platform, this vehicle integrates a variety of solutions from radio, satellite to optical and IP transmission, and is equipped with an advanced military security system. The presence of the Communications Vehicle in the parade formation shows that Viettel not only provides weapons and equipment, but also creates an information "blood vessel" for the entire force, contributing to enhancing overall combat strength.

Reconnaissance UAVs, Multi-role UAVs and Suicide UAVs

The three modern UAV models researched and produced by Viettel include reconnaissance UAVs, multi-purpose UAVs, and suicide UAVs that can be equipped with high-precision combat weapons when equipped with AI. These UAV products are all mastered by Viettel, researched, developed, and manufactured 100% domestically. They have been tested and put into practical training. This is considered a breakthrough in Vietnam's defense industry in recent times.

The reconnaissance UAV line produced by Viettel has the ability to take off and land vertically, is equipped with modern reconnaissance cameras, and applies the latest advanced image processing technologies. This type of UAV has the ability to automatically reconnaissance and monitor different types of targets from the ground and sea.

The VU-C2 suicide UAV is equipped with a warhead, camera sensor, integrated AI, capable of searching, detecting and locking targets completely automatically, attacking targets when ordered by the commander. The VU-C2 UAV is 1.5m wide, 1.1m long, with a maximum take-off weight of 8kg, continuous operation time of 40 minutes, reaching a maximum target attack speed of more than 130km/h.
