On October 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced a series of activities at the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week in 2023 with the theme "Green on every journey".

This is the next activity of the tourism industry in coordination with relevant departments, agencies and units, and the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and districts, with the goal of stimulating domestic and international tourism, creating opportunities for the city's tourism businesses to introduce tourism products and services with promotions at the end of the year and the new year 2024.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that the City Tourism Week 2023 will take place for 7 days, from December 4 to 10, creating a series of communication activities - events opening the 2023 year-end festival season.

A series of complex activities, unique tourism, sports, and music events with high experiential value to serve the community and domestic and international tourists along with shopping promotions and stimulus programs... taking place across the city's destinations.

Ho Chi Minh City tourism welcomed about 30.5 million domestic visitors and more than 4.1 million international visitors in 10 months of this year.

In the first 10 months of this year, the city's tourism industry welcomed more than 30.5 million visitors, up 22.6% over the same period; international visitors are estimated at 4.12 million, reaching 82% of the target of 5 million this year. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND140,048 billion, up 32.6% over the same period last year and is likely to exceed the target of more than VND160,000 billion this year.

With the positive results up to now, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa hopes that the unique and attractive activities and events of the City Tourism Week will continue to welcome more domestic and international tourists.

Ms. Nguyen Cam Tu, Director of the City Tourism Promotion Center, said that a special feature of this year's event is that Thu Duc City and 21 districts will have a check-in space for tourists to take photos; explore the city through doodle art; tourism stimulus programs, many new tours launched...

The highlight is the 6th edition of the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon, which will take place from December 8 to 10, aiming to attract 14,000 top domestic and international athletes. The race will optimize activities related to environmental protection, reducing plastic waste according to the green message of the tourism week...

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, every day of the week, the city will announce at least one new tourism product, including products that are being launched for the first time such as night tourism in Nha Be, health and medical tourism, thematic tourism products... which are expected to bring a lot of excitement to tourists.

"Currently, tourists can explore and experience at least 60 tourism products in Ho Chi Minh City, including at least 30 district tourism products according to the strategy of "each district has a unique product" that has been implemented recently," said Ms. Anh Hoa.
