On August 9, the US announced a new military aid package worth 125 million USD for Ukraine. US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby affirmed that the new aid package reflects Washington's unwavering commitment to supporting the Kiev government. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the aid package will include goods and equipment drawn from US reserves such as air defense interceptors, ammunition for missile and artillery systems, multi-mission radars and anti-tank weapons. These equipment will help Ukraine strengthen its military capabilities on the front lines. The US is an important military backer of Ukraine, pledging to provide weapons, ammunition and security aid worth more than 55 billion USD.
