Vietnam women's team is still number 1 in Southeast Asia
In this ranking, the Vietnamese women's team has been awarded 2.09 points thanks to their perfect record in the 2026 Asian qualifiers (which is also the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers). Impressive victories over the Maldives (7-0), the UAE (6-0) and Guam (4-0) have helped the Vietnamese women's team firmly stay at the top of the region.
Right behind the Vietnamese women’s team in Southeast Asia is the Philippines, currently ranked 39th in the world , up 2 places from the previous ranking. Meanwhile, Thailand has dropped to 53rd after falling 7 places.

At the continental level (Asia- Pacific ), the Vietnamese women's team is currently ranked 6th, behind strong teams such as Japan (ranked 8th in the world), North Korea (ranked 10th), Australia (ranked 15th), China (ranked 16th) and South Korea (ranked 21st).
At the top of the world, Spain overtook the United States to take the No. 1 spot. They were followed by Sweden, who climbed three places in the rankings thanks to their four wins at the 2025 Women's European Championship. England also moved up one place to No. 4, while Germany dropped to No. 5.
