On July 12, workers of Quang An 1 Industrial Joint Stock Company - the company operating bus routes in Da Nang - gathered again to demand their rights when the company was late in paying their salaries.

Representatives of a group of more than 100 workers still under labor contracts asked the company to pay their March salaries, which the company promised to pay no later than July 8, but so far "nothing has been seen".
A group of more than 80 workers who terminated their contracts with Quang An 1 complained that the company had not returned their deposits.
The group said the deposit paid by drivers was 15 million VND, and for ticket sellers it was 3 million VND. A total of about 400 million VND that this group of workers paid has not been returned.

Besides, there are many cases reflecting that this company does not pay or close social insurance books for employees.
For example, Mr. LVH was given a cover of his social insurance book by the company stamped by the Hai Chau District Social Insurance. However, according to Mr. H., the part that recorded the amount and the number of social insurance payments inside was not there.
"As far as I know, when the company closes the books, the Social Insurance will transfer the contents to the company, and the company will give them to the employees. But if the company does not close the books, how can there be any contents?", said Mr. H.

At the dialogue on July 12, there was no leader of Quang An 1 but only a representative so they could not answer questions related to salary and social insurance.
Mr. Bui Hong Trung, Director of the Department of Transport of Da Nang, said that the Department will work with Quang An 1 Company, requesting this unit to set a certain deadline for resolution, not to let the workers wait. After that, the information will be sent to the workers next week.
Mr. Trung suggested that workers avoid gathering in large groups, which could complicate the situation. Regarding social insurance and salary arrears, Mr. Trung said that workers should sue the company if it continues to delay.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Deputy Head of the Employment Policy Department, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang, said that the Department has worked with Quang An 1 Company many times but this unit has not cooperated.
According to Mr. Vinh, the company's collection of deposits from workers is against the rules, so the best solution now is to sue the company. The Department will support and accompany the workers.
