The above information was questioned by a reporter to the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on the sidelines of the "Conference to announce the city's excellent student teams participating in the national excellent student exam for the 2025-2026 school year", organized by the Department this morning, in Hanoi.
Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that the non-public specialized high school model is a very new model.
"There are public specialized high schools, so why can't there be non-public specialized high schools? In education and training, there is no distinction between public and private. Therefore, if there are non-public specialized high schools, it is also very good.
However, this is just a wish because localities must comply with the regulations of the management agency and be in accordance with current regulations on education," said the head of the Capital's Education Department.

It is known that according to regulations, specialized high schools are schools for excellent students, aiming to develop talents in a number of subjects on the basis of comprehensive general education.
Specialized schools are classified into provincial specialized schools and specialized schools belonging to higher education institutions.
Previously, some public high schools had both specialized and non-specialized programs, but according to new regulations, these schools have been converted into specialized schools and no longer enroll non-specialized students.
Sharing more about the orientation of Hanoi's key training in the coming time, Mr. Tran The Cuong said that every year, the locality has the highest number of students winning medals and national and international awards in the country. Selecting the most qualified, skilled and talented students to participate in the national excellent student exam is also a priority of the capital's key training.

In particular, the key to training is that the team of teachers must be the best, selected to equip the students with knowledge. In addition, parents must accompany the school, promptly encourage their children, and not put pressure on them.
Currently, Hanoi has specialized high schools: Hanoi – Amsterdam, Nguyen Hue High School, Chu Van An High School and Son Tay High School. These are specialized high schools, training generations of excellent students for the city and reaping many awards.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi students will lead the country in national and international competitions for excellent students. Accordingly, 200 students will win prizes in the national competition for excellent students.
At international competitions, city students won 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 9 bronze medals.
Participating in the national excellent student selection exam for the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi established 13 teams with a total of 247 students.
City students participated in the national excellent student selection exam in the subjects: Math, physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, literature, history, geography, English, French, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.
