
Specifically, the exam schedule for the subjects is as follows: December 25, 2025: Written exams in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese and computer programming exam for Information Technology.
December 26, 2025: Written exams in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology; Speaking exams in English, Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese and computer programming exam in Information Technology.
Exam paper cutting time in the exam room is 7:50 am. The exam start time of each session is 8:00 am.
The exam content follows the General Education Program issued with Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDDT dated December 26, 2018, amended and supplemented by Circular No. 13/2022/TT-BGDDT dated August 3, 2022 and Circular No. 17/2025/TT-BGDDT dated September 12, 2025 (for foreign language exams: Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese according to the current General Education Program) and Official Dispatch No. 4171/BGDDT-GDTrH dated August 26, 2022 of the Ministry of Education and Training guiding the implementation of the specialized program for specialized subjects at the High School level.
The exam will be transferred through the Government Cipher Committee system. The reception and printing of exam papers will be carried out according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training sent to the units before December 15, 2025. In case of having to use the reserve exam papers, the Ministry of Education and Training will decide and announce the exam schedule and instructions on the use of the reserve exam papers.
The participating units use the unified software for managing the national excellent student examination provided by the Ministry of Education and Training. The excellent student examination software and instructions for using the software will be sent to the units before November 18, 2025.
Before November 25, 2025, the Examination Councils shall send the registration form for the number of candidates taking the exam (scanned copy) and the data file in Appendix 1 of the excellent student exam software to the Ministry of Education and Training (through the Department of Quality Management).
Before December 1, 2025, the examination units under the combined examination council shall send the examination registration form, the list of registered candidates and necessary data to the examination unit where the combined examination council is located.
Before December 5, 2025, the Examination Councils shall send the List of candidates registered for the exam (hard copy) and the data file of the software for the excellent student exam to the Ministry of Education and Training (through the Department of Quality Management).
Before December 16, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training will notify the participating units about the organization of examination councils and the mobilization of personnel to participate in the examination councils.
For the IT and Foreign Language exams, the IT exam supervisors are arranged to be lecturers or teachers who are teaching the IT exam; the Foreign Language exam supervisors are lecturers or teachers who are teaching the Foreign Language exam. To ensure timely handling of situations arising during the Foreign Language exam (each exam room has at least one supervisor in the room who is a lecturer or teacher who is teaching or understands the Foreign Language subject of that exam room).
Before December 18, 2025, the participating units must send a list of personnel assigned to participate in the Examination Council, ensuring sufficient quantity, correct composition and meeting all requirements according to regulations to the participating units mobilized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
15 days before the exam date, if the exam papers and exam bags have not been received, the exam unit where the Examination Council is located must contact the Ministry of Education and Training (through the Department of Quality Management) for timely handling.
The Ministry of Education and Training also noted that the Examination Councils should prepare well the conditions of facilities, power sources, internet connection, etc. to serve the organization of the exams; especially for the subjects of Information Technology and Foreign Languages.
