For the organization of speaking exams in foreign languages, there are some specific requirements regarding exam rooms, equipment and invigilator duties, such as each foreign language subject has its own exam room and 3 invigilators are arranged (2 in the room, 1 outside the room).
In addition, each council has 2 waiting rooms including waiting room 1 for candidates before the exam, waiting room 2 for candidates after completing the exam; each waiting room has 2 invigilators.
Exam rooms and waiting rooms are arranged separately to avoid affecting other subjects and to facilitate candidates' movement.
Each exam room has 2 computers (1 main, 1 backup) installed with the speaking test software of the Ministry of Education and Training, with a stable and continuous Internet connection to the Ministry's server throughout the exam period.
Before the exam, the invigilator checks the network connection, system time, receives and signs for scratch paper, CD/DVD, and exam questions.
During the exam, the invigilator calls candidates according to the list, checks the exam card, supervises the test taking process, prints and signs the CD containing the exam, and guides candidates to sign the exam receipt.
Invigilators outside the exam room monitor all activities, ensuring candidates move according to procedures and do not come into contact with others.
The invigilator in the waiting room is responsible for managing, maintaining order and guiding candidates; the invigilator outside the waiting room supervises all activities, including candidates entering and leaving the room.
When recording the test, candidates must read the test code and question content loudly and clearly before answering. However, candidates should note that they should not state their full name, registration number or personal information and should not make any noise to mark the test. Candidates who violate the regulations will be considered to have violated the regulations.
