At around 7:00 a.m. on June 17, a tractor with license plate 51D - 663.72 pulling a trailer was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai.

The tractor trailer crashed off the highway and overturned, the driver suffered minor injuries.

At Km3+500, in Phu Huu ward, Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh city, the truck suddenly swerved to the right, hitting several meters of the iron median strip. The tractor continued to hit the metal guardrail on the right side of the road and then overturned onto the side of the road. The truck driver opened the cabin door and escaped, suffering minor injuries.

The incident caused traffic congestion on the highway.

At the scene, the tractor trailer was damaged, lying nearly 5 meters from the guardrail. In addition, several meters of iron median strip were also damaged.

As of 9am the same day, the scene was still being processed by authorities. The accident caused traffic from the expressway branch to National Highway 51 to be congested for a long time.
