According to the Department of Health , on May 28, the Office of the People's Committee of Can Tho City issued a document requesting an inspection of the health protection food WHI- BEAUTY SKIN, suspected of being counterfeit, used at the pharmacy of Can Tho Dermatology Hospital.
The Department of Health Inspectorate has established a team to verify the above content. Through checking the records, it was found that the health protection food WHI-BEAUTY SKIN has been registered by MEDISMART Company Limited for the Product Declaration at the Department of Food Safety. The health protection food WHI-BEAUTY SKIN is a legally circulated product.
Can Tho Dermatology Hospital has carried out import inspection, quality control and product record keeping according to regulations when goods are imported into the hospital pharmacy. The above products when imported into the hospital pharmacy have invoices, documents, and full product declaration according to regulations.
Regarding 12 cosmetic products of HeCa Trading Company Limited, during the process of handling complaints at the hospital, the Department of Health discovered 12 Cosmetic Product Declaration Receipts suspected of having signs of forging records and papers of state agencies. Pursuant to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 27 of the Law on Denunciation, the Department of Health has transferred the records and documents to the Investigation Police Agency to consider the act of forging the signature and seal of the state management agency against HeCa Trading Company Limited.
As reported by CAND Newspaper , at the end of February 2025, the Department of Health concluded the content of the denunciation against the Director of Can Tho Dermatology Hospital and transferred the file and documents to the Investigation Police Agency to clarify the act of forging the signature and seal of the state management agency in the receipt and declaration of cosmetic products of HeCa Trading Company Limited.
12 cosmetic products supplied by HeCa Trading Company Limited to Can Tho Dermatology Hospital were not granted cosmetic product declaration receipt numbers by the Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health.
The Department of Health has requested Can Tho Dermatology Hospital to destroy the cosmetics with the receipt of fake cosmetic product declaration sealed at the hospital and report to the Department of Health when there is a conclusion from the Investigation Police Agency.
