Specifically, between Hanoi - Vinh (Nghe An province), stop running train NA1 departing from Hanoi Station at 9:50 p.m.; stop running train NA2 departing from Vinh Station at 9:30 p.m.; Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City, stop running train SE9 departing from Hanoi Station at 12:50 p.m.
Passengers with tickets for these trains can have their tickets refunded at the railway station free of charge; the refund period is no more than 30 days (from the date the train stops running).
According to the report of Vietnam Railways Corporation , currently on the North-South route, there are still train pairs running through the provinces in the North Central region - the provinces most affected by storm No. 5, including: Thong Nhat passenger trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE10, SE11/SE12; Hanoi-Da Nang passenger train SE19/SE20.
Previously, the Ministry of Construction issued an official dispatch requesting agencies and units to focus on emergency response to storm No. 5.
Specifically, the Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation are responsible for directing units to increase patrols and guard posts at key works and locations such as bridges, roads prone to flooding, steep mountain passes, areas at risk of flash floods and landslides; prepare plans to stop trains, stretch trains, increase trains or transfer passengers when flooding or landslides occur, ensuring absolute safety for people and vehicles./.
