Distribution of Apiroca-B effervescent tablets temporarily suspended due to violations.
On July 25th, the Food Safety Department issued a notice requesting a temporary suspension of the circulation of the Apiroca-B health supplement product (batch number 0335001, production date: March 26, 2025, expiry date: March 26, 2027) manufactured by Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company ( Phu Tho Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
The product was manufactured by Apimed Pharmaceutical Factory - a branch of Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. The sale, distribution, and use of this batch of products have been temporarily suspended since July 22nd.
Regarding the reason for suspending the batch of dietary supplements, the Food Safety Department stated that the cause was due to substandard product quality, specifically, test results showed that the vitamin B2 (Riboflavin sodium phosphate) content was only 86.9 mg/tablet.
Meanwhile, the packaging of this product states that the vitamin B2 content is 15 mg/tablet.
At the end of May, the Food Safety Department inspected the implementation of food safety regulations at the Apimed pharmaceutical factory. The Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Public Health conducted product sample testing.
The Food Safety Department requires Apimed Pharmaceutical Factory - a branch of Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - to implement corrective measures within 7 days.
The product is only permitted to continue circulating if the necessary corrective actions have been taken and confirmed by the inspection authority.
Apiroca-B health supplement is marketed as effervescent tablets, intended for adults with weakened immune systems and those needing to supplement their bodies with vitamins and minerals.
