9 ringleaders involved in the case of students escaping from a drug rehabilitation facility were detained.

As reported, on October 5, 2025, a number of students escaped from Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2 (Kien Hao Hamlet, My Thuan Commune, An Giang Province). The Director of An Giang Provincial Police Department directed the mobilization of maximum forces, closely coordinated with units and localities to synchronously deploy professional measures, organize the search and mobilize students to return to the facility.

By 8:00 a.m. on October 7, 2025, 292/314 students had returned to the rehabilitation center. The provincial police are continuing to check, verify, patrol, block, control people and vehicles, and coordinate with the police of other provinces and cities to search for and mobilize the remaining students who have escaped.
