On January 25, Bac Giang Provincial Police announced that they were temporarily detaining Ha Quang T. (born in 1981, in Tien Thang residential group, Nha Nam town, Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province) for resisting the traffic police force in handling alcohol concentration violations.
Specifically, implementing the plan for patrolling and controlling road traffic, on January 24, the Traffic Police Team of Tan Yen District Police organized patrols, controlled and handled violations according to the alcohol concentration topic at Km8+300, Provincial Road 294 in Nha Nam town.
At around 8:30 p.m. on January 24, the Task Force stopped a truck with license plate 29H-551.xx traveling from Quang Tien commune to Nha Nam town to check alcohol concentration.
However, the driver did not obey the order to stop the vehicle and drove straight into the Task Force, injuring a traffic police officer.
The task force used vehicles to chase and repeatedly signaled the driver to stop, but the driver fled. During the escape, the official motorcycle with license plate 98B1-001.16 was dragged under the vehicle, causing sparks on the road. After traveling about 0.5 km, realizing that he could not escape, the driver drove the vehicle into the road of Giua village, Tan Trung commune, then opened the car door and ran towards the fields of Giua village to hide.
The working group protected the scene and coordinated with the Investigation Agency of Tan Yen District Police to examine and search for the suspect.
At around 2:30 a.m. on January 25, the driver of the car with license plate 29H-551.42 was identified as Ha Quang Tung, born on September 12, 1981, residing in Tien Thang residential group, Nha Nam town, Tan Yen district. This person has presented himself to the Tan Yen district police.
During the initial preliminary test at the police station, this driver had no alcohol concentration and tested negative for drugs.
The case is being investigated and resolved by Tan Yen District Police according to regulations.
