Strengthening aviation security during the national funeral of the General Secretary

The entire aviation industry applies level 1 security control during the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Director of the Civil Aviation Authority Dinh Viet Thang has just issued a decision to apply level 1 (highest level) enhanced aviation security control measures at aviation units nationwide during the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. The time to apply enhanced security is from 5:00 p.m. on July 22 to midnight on July 26. Units that must apply include airports, air traffic control facilities, airlines, and aviation service providers.

The Civil Aviation Authority requests agencies and units to implement appropriate enhanced aviation security control measures based on regulations.

During the period of applying the level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures, airport authorities, airport enterprises, flight management and airlines must report the situation of aviation security assurance on a daily basis. In case of an unexpected incident, the Department requires agencies and units to report immediately upon detecting the incident according to regulations on information work and reporting of violations of aviation security regulations.
