
In his opening speech, Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung emphasized that the meeting strengthened solidarity and unity in propaganda work, and was also an opportunity to exchange and propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of coordination between the association and press agencies in the coming time.
“Propaganda work is not only a bridge between the association and the martyrs' relatives, but also a bridge to spread the spirit of gratitude, humanity and social responsibility in the community,” Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung shared.

Colonel Phan Sy Thao, Secretary General and Vice President of the association, presented a report on the results of the third term and the first 9 months of 2025, and provided an overview of the 15 years of formation and development (2010-2025) of the association.

According to the report, in the third quarter of 2025, towards the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 and the 15th anniversary of the association's founding (September 17, 2010 - September 17, 2025), many gratitude activities were carried out nationwide.
The Association has coordinated with Texas Tech University (USA) and relevant agencies to receive 21 sets of historical war documents and files, and handed them over to the units. The Association also received 65 files to identify martyrs, and transferred 17 cases for DNA testing, of which one case was correctly identified and a certificate was awarded to the relatives at the 15th Anniversary of the Association. The Association also supported the transfer of 5 martyrs' remains to their homeland.
Many gratitude programs, gift giving and building gratitude houses were implemented. On the occasion of July 27, the association presented a gratitude house in Nghe An; coordinated with SalePro Ecosystem to organize the program "Forever love for the country - Together wish for the future" at Hanoi Martyrs' Cemetery; participated in the program "Gratitude to martyrs" at Road 9 Cemetery (Quang Tri), awarded 10 gifts worth 10 million VND.
Social activities were also expanded. The Association coordinated with Tinh Hoa Dat Viet Newspaper, Vietnam Veterans Newspaper, Trade Union Organization Magazine - Ministry of Home Affairs and businesses in the SalePro ecosystem to give 793 gifts worth more than 525 million VND to relatives of martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Quang Tri, Hanoi and Nghe An.
In Cao Bang province, the Association coordinated with the Institute of Technology Consulting and Global Training to organize the program "Returning to the source of gratitude", giving 80 gifts (each worth 1.7 million VND) to families of martyrs in Truong Ha commune - the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh .
In addition, the Association, Tasco Real Estate Company and Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross Association presented 25 gifts and VND50 million in cash to relatives of martyrs in the area.

After 15 years, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has become a trusted address for millions of martyrs' relatives, a bridge between the Party, the State and the people in the work of "Repaying gratitude".
The Association currently has 17 associations and five provincial and municipal branches, two representative offices in the central and southern regions, more than 80 district and county branches, and nearly 7,000 members operating in 34 provinces and cities across the country.
In the gratitude work, the association searched for and identified 1,155 martyrs using empirical methods and DNA identification; and supported the movement of martyrs' remains back to their homeland.
From the socialized mobilization of more than 180 billion VND, the association and local association organizations have built 418 new gratitude houses, repaired and upgraded 59 houses, given more than 68,000 gifts, cared for 22 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, upgraded eight martyrs' cemeteries, and at the same time given scholarships, bicycles, living facilities and organized free medical examination and treatment for tens of thousands of policy beneficiaries.
Propaganda and foreign affairs work has also been promoted. The website trianlietsi.vn has posted more than 30,000 news, articles, and videos, attracting 25 million visits from 130 countries; Tri An Magazine published 23 special issues with more than 200,000 pieces of information about martyrs.
The Association has organized 23 art exchange programs to pay tribute to martyrs; 13 text message programs to pay tribute to martyrs; and more than 220 meetings with relatives of martyrs. The Association has coordinated with the United States Institute of Peace, American veterans and several American universities to exchange records and documents on burial sites of Vietnamese soldiers and war relics.
In 2024, a group of American veterans handed over documents on the location of the mass grave of martyrs. Based on these documents, the authorities found the remains of 105 martyrs at Loc Ninh airport (Binh Phuoc).
In his concluding remarks, Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung highly appreciated the support of press agencies over the past 15 years and wished to continue expanding propaganda coordination in the coming time.
