Leaders of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee directed to check all groups of children and preschool classes after the incident of a 14-month-old child suffering from an unusual brain hemorrhage at a daycare center.

Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee - Y Ngoc has just directed the Department of Education and Training, communes and wards of special zones in the province to urgently review and count all facilities operating independent child care groups, independent kindergartens, and independent preschools in the province; thereby, strengthening state management, promptly correcting operating conditions in accordance with regulations, ensuring safety for children. In case of detecting violations, they must be resolutely handled in accordance with regulations. Complete and report to the Provincial People's Committee before July 31, 2025 for monitoring and direction.

Previously, on July 16, 2025, at the Nhu Y nursery group in Cam Thanh ward, an incident occurred in which a 14-month-old child showed signs of abnormal health and was taken to the emergency room. At the time of the incident, the nursery group had 5 children, the facility had been operating since 2020, and the nursery group's childcare activities were irregular and based on the needs of parents. The incident is currently being investigated by the Quang Ngai Provincial Police.
