According to the Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research, these ancient rock paintings are estimated to date back to the Bronze Age. The drawings on the ancient rock are in red tones and depict scenes of ancient people hunting animals. Photo: @Tormod Fjeld.

Another image on the rock shows a rowing boat. Others depict animals. Officials have urged people not to touch the rock because it is rare and fragile, fearing the ancient paintings could be erased. “We don’t want to reveal exactly where it is, except that it is in the city of Moss,” Tormod Fjeld said.
